“Everything was great. However there is no TV so be prepared to spend that day outside or bring board games. Not much to do at night. We were gone during the day everyday but would have been nice to watch at night. Also if you plan on cooking they have everything but seasoning youll want to bring that with you. Id suggest brining food as closest HEB or groc store is 1hr 15min away. They have a nice waterhole to check out outdoor games for kids. We went end of June and was hot but had nice breeze……

“Cabins are nice. Rails are loose and almost fell carrying stuff in my husband told the staff and they fixed it right away. The steps on the ladder was a little loose. That ladder is just plain scary haha. Also I saw a few silver fish running around under the pillows so I killed them and took all the sheets apart to make sure I got them all. Next morning I told the ladies who where checking the cabins and they where really nice about it and gave me new sheets. I really wished they would have……

“The Utopia River Retreat was just what we needed after 3 nights camping out in Big Bend. The cabin we stayed in (Kickapoo) was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed (cooking utensils, bath towels, linens). The grounds were peaceful and scenic and had a nice swimming pool and volleyball net as well as riverfront access. At this time the river on the property didn't look great for swimming (no deep spits, tree branches, etc), but if you want to swim, Utopia City Park has a deep……

“Cabin was very clean, was more than enough room for me and my 3 friends (4 people total). Beds were comfy, close proximity to activities in the area, check in and out were smooth, host kept in touch, and much more positives. Would definitely buy again. ”
