"3 generations recently stayed at Bluestone Cottage. There was plenty of space for sleeping, eating and enjoying a game or movie. The kitchen was well stocked. The house is within easy walking distance to a public, but not very well known, beach and the cute town of Leland. It was great to leave the car and be able to walk everywhere. The Leland Library also offered a fun music program that we checked out. Melissa was great about communicating with me and answered the couple questions I had quickly. We especially enjoyed venturing out to the Farm Club and Hop Lot restaurants. Already considering booking Bluestone for next year!"

"I grew up spending summers at my grandfather’s cabin on Big Bass Lake in Irons, MI. I had not been back to MI since my grandfather passed in 2014. With 3 children of my own now, I secretly hoped they too would fall in love with the breathtaking MI lake shores...and they did!! From the time we arrived, we were greeted by the most kind & welcoming neighbors. I genuinely cannot even tell you how sweet they were! The house itself was so cozy & filled with character and charm. I loved ALL of the local artwork that the owners displayed throughout the home. It was very clean & had games, legos, children’s books & my 4 year old son’s favorite, Nerf blasters! We had more than everything we needed during our stay here. Other than the sandflies (leave it to us to pick the week that the flies were the absolute worst!!) there isn’t anything negative I can say about our say….except we wished we would have extended our stay a little longer. The house is steps away from the lake and a short walk to downtown Leland. We had the best time & even found a few Leland blues and Petoskey stones! The weather was perfect & it did my heart well to be back on the great lakes of Michigan. Sidenote: Halfway through our 9 hour drive home, we were in a car accident.Everyone was ok(our vehicle was no longer drivable and had to be towed away.We were stuck at a hotel for a couple of days until we could get things sorted out & in a rental car to get us home. Despite it all, we hope to return very soon!"

"Drew and Rachels hospitality was amazing, Frank, the resident cat is mostly disinterested, yet friendly. The whole place is very charming and feels like a community as you walk to the breakfast bar with Hannah's fantastic muffins. Sitting on the porch with friends, food and a wonderful view of the lake, makes me sad to think of all the times ive missed being here in the past. 10/10 recommend!"
