“I LOVED my stay at the Pines and wish I could have stayed longer. Already planning another trip that way next summer and will for sure stay there again. He sent suggestions for places to eat, brought donuts in the morning and went around to each room in the evening with a little tea light for the porch. “I stayed in Daphne, a cute single room. Perfect for just me and one night. Very clean, plenty spacious. My only complaint was that it was very bright in the room all-night due to lights outside & curtains that werent black out. ”

“This is a great deal. If you need a clean place to stay the night in a safe area this is your choice. Very simple design with upgraded interior and has fridge and microwave. Basically two bedrooms to sleep in and bathroom /shower but perfect for what we needed coming in late. ”

“This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one……

“Staff was amazing ”

“I need to travel to grass Valley for two months for my nursing program. I found this hotel and decided to book it based on the price and was not expecting much because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised! The unit is very big. When you first walk in, you have a bathroom area to the left and then a fridge and microwave on the right and then you walk down a few stairs into the actual room which is a very large space. It doesn’t come with a lot of extras, but it was definitely worth the price……
