“The location is a perfect distance tucked back in the woods, but also just 15 min away from town. The cabin was cozy and just right for 2 adults. The ceiling in the loft is a bit low and the staircase is pretty narrow, so smaller people would be more comfortable. The wood burning stove to heat the house was a bit of a challenge to get going, but once we did, it made the cabin nice and toasty! We found that when the wood burning stove got going, we literally had hundreds of flies in the loft……

The ability to rent to pontoon was a plus. The only drawbacks were lack of ladder on the pier, lack of garbage can space for a large group and the house binder/info could be more robust or manager comms better. “Our family had a wonderful stay at the Boulder Retreat! The location was peaceful, and we spent time on the pier, boating, fishing, and around the campfire. We saw deer, bald eagles, loons and cranes. A true Northwoods location! Only a short drive into Boulder where you can shop or dine out. The house was very well maintained with new appliances and our family of 6 adults and 2 children fit comfortably. It was well stocked with everything we needed.
