“This hotel was designed, sounds daft, but design was everywhere, stark, monumental, impressive, I liked it. But it lacked a few human touches. Some hotels encourage local arts into their space, this one didn't, I like to bring home the hotel note pad and pen as a reminder but the rooms were spartan and impersonal, although our accommodation was of excellent size. We rarely got a pool sunlounger as they pool area was too small for the size of the hotel, which was half empty when we were……

“La Penita is in a great location. Check in was very pleasant and quick. Our apartment was clean enough and had plenty of kitchen equipment. The towels are small and very well worn. Maid came twice during our stay and again on day before we left to empty bin and leave clean towels. The beds are two singles pushed together , we found that to be very uncomfortable. There isn't any air conditioning, but a fan over bed and stand up fan in main living area. Sun loungers have seen better days. The……

“I will say that we weren’t expecting much but we were blown away with what a gem this hotel was. Definitely was beyond our expectations. We had a great stay and would certainly think about a return visit. Check in was a simple process with clear information given on restaurant, bar and pool opening times as well as how to access apartment. We did arrive before 3pm and were surprised at being able to checkin early with our all inclusive starting straight away. Reception staff were very helpful……
