The Royal Queensland Show or as we call it, The EKKA, has come to town in Brisbane. The city and the country combine to put on a 10 day exhibition for locals, country visitors and tourists alike. Whether it's Hot Wheels racing shows, the cattle or even the wonderful giant vegetable exhibition there's something for everyone. Even the laughing clowns in sideshow alley are a great stop after the farmyard animals for the children. Whatever you do at the EKKA, have fun. #ekka #brisbane
The refurbished Shorncliffe Jetty. After 4 years, she's about to be reopened to the public. Coinciding with the Bluewater Festival and the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht rate, the jetty looks mighty fine. On the north side of Brisbane the jetty juts out into Bramble Bay and Moreton Island can be seen on a clear day like today. Why not visit.
