“Friendly staff, delicious food and breakfast. Comfortable bed, hot shower with plenty of fresh towels and immaculately clean room. Great location as only half an hour from Whitby. Stayed here twice now and would definitely stay again. ”

“Clean tidy room, nice and cosy, bedding clean, towels provided, bottles of water in the room along with tea, coffee etc. The host,Donna was lovely, nothing too much trouble for her. Easy check in. Breakfast was good, nice variety. We had a parking spot at the property. Easy walk in to town. Overall a lovely 2 day stay, will definitely be returning.”

The only thing that could be made better would be an addition of a full drench shower because there was certainly room for one”

“Great find spotlessly clean good location. About 15 min walk to centre and £5, taxi back. Breakfast was lovely and all waitress service. Very polite staff. We were on the top floor, room was fine. Nice touches were robes and slippers and a rarity, a decent shaving/make up mirror so easy to apply make up. So clean too. I would definitely recommend this hotel. ”

“We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre. The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels. We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights. We will recomnend a stay at Penny Hedge. Staff could not do enough for us , all very friendly and polite. We will come again now we know of the hotel . Caroline and Laura were helpful , we rang because we could not quite find your location on our sat nav. staff helped us on this matter and then found you……
