Staff all lovely and friendly, nothing was an issue. Room all clean and fresh. Only one thing was the bed was too soft for us but everyone is different. Food was beautiful, limited menu and quite pricey but very nice. Parking was a bit limited. Couldn’t get parked at first. Lovely area and only 30 minutes from Whitby along the most amazing road. Hotel was everything we had hoped for, friendly, cozy, great restaurant, bar and atmosphere. Lovely fires welcomed you back after a chilly day. Room was comfortable, clean and lots of tea and coffee and water available. Breakfast was amazing too. The only slight negative was the amount of time needed for hot water to reach the shower. My evening meal was good quality and reasonably priced, beer was good and the breakfast was also good quality and well cooked.
