“Clean room and comfortable”

“Less than 5 minutes to my cousin's home for the family reunion, allowing us to leave the dogs in the cool space during the oppressive heat and making it easy to pop "home" and check on the dogs every 2 hours during the day. Nice back yard for walking our elder doggies. Comfortable living area. Kitchenette more than met our needs. This is the first year we were able to spend time with other out-of-town family members (rather than doing the reunion as a day trip, with 3 hour drives each way). This……

“No hairdryer. 2 small pillows for 2 adults. No hot water for the shower until I complained. 1 coffee pack for 2 adults. Wall HVAC unit only blew cold air and could not be adjusted. No hand towels in hotel. No hairdryer. A reasonable price but a guest should expect the basics. Clearly a badly managed hotel!”

“Hands down the most charming place I've ever stayed! We stayed in the Captain's Quarters. We got to meet the owner in the morning. She was super friendly and authentic. Told us about the place's history as a real firehouse. She'd kept so much of the original character - from stained glass windows to the old switchboard. The hall had the old firefighters' portraits. There were several suites upstairs and a small lounge. Downstairs was a pub, which we sadly arrived too late to eat at, but was……
