“I tend to stick with places on Expedia that are above 8 stars. I have no idea how this hotel is above the 8\. Check in was fine. The staff Friday evening were pleasant enough. Our room however was pretty bad. 1st it smelled of old cigarettes and mold. 2nd, the couch and chair were so visibly stained that we avoided even putting anything on them. “Everything was adequate…but I wouldn’t call it “chic”. Bed was comfortable, the place was basically clean, but the surfaces are dingy, countertops splitting. The upstairs neighbors are very noisy late night and early morning. There was a washer and dryer, but no detergent which made it unfunctional unless you went and bought a regular sized detergent for one load. What a waste! I expected more, albeit functional.”
