“This hotel is not worth the money. The toilet seat was hanging off. The shower door was broken the toilet brush and holder were all rusty. In the morning we waited an hour for our breakfast people that arrived in the restaurant after us got there breakfast before us when we checked with staff they said ours was coming after an hours wait we left the restaurant and checked out with no breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel”

During both stays I have come down for a continental breakfast either at 7.45am or 8.30am only to find the through door into the breakfast area was locked and no one around to give access. This meant I had to go to a nearby shop to buy breakfast at an extra cost to me even though it was already part of my booking cost. “The Village Inn was the perfect place for a stopover while travelling further south. Ideally located a short distance from Northallerton. Large car park, restaurant with a really good menu choice and very reasonably priced. The room was extremely clean and comfortable with heating you can control yourself. Powerful shower and very hot water. Breakfast was great, with choices of full English, Vegan, cereals etc. I would highly recommend the Village Inn to everybody looking for somewhere to stay……
