First, everything we needed to know or that could have been an issue upon arrival was covered by the owner of the property long before we even left for the trip. The communication from the owners was exceptional and had us prepared for the visit. The location was wonderful, it was extremely quiet and peaceful. We went in the fall to catch the changing leaves in the area which were vivid, but if someone went in the……

“My wife and I enjoyed our stay as the property was on the edge of downtown Alpena, which has developed into a nice evening destination. Recommend dinner at Fresh Palate and Red Brick. Highly Recommend!”

“Shower left a lot to be desired. Cold water knob fell off. When turned on not sure if it was from sitting or the shower head but ended up covered with a rust type sludge. I know it’s from the well water but maybe before being occupied if it sat vacant go in and run the shower and clean the shower head.”

“This is an adorable cottage in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Excellent location, close to downtown and the beach. Perfect for us, with a fenced in yard for the fur baby. Nice amenities, including condiments, spices, coffee and tea provided in the renovated kitchen (loved the blue cabinets!). Our daughter lives in the area, so we will definitely be back.”

“This apartment was perfect for my husband and I while we were in town for a wedding. The location couldn't have been better and the apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. We loved getting coffee every morning at the coffee shop on the corner. “The setting was beautiful! The kitchen sink and shower were so disgusting, we went to town for cleanser and cleaned them before we could use them. The refrigerator was dirty and had other peoples food (condiments etc) in it. There were cob webs with spiders and eggs under the table in the living room. We only stayed 2 nights of our three booked. There wasn't a can opener or toaster in the kitchen. There were also two gun safes in our cabin! ”
