"We loved staying at this fantastic old pub the staff were great breakfast was fantastic and included in the price. The only 2 things I would change is the bed, it was rock hard and could’ve don’t with a soft top mattress topper to fix this problem, and there was no air conditioner and the room was very hot so a ceiling fan or even a pedestal fan could be in the rooms. Other than that everything else was great. "

"The bedrooms have good facilities which adds to comfort, ie comfortable bed, Roberts radio, iron and ironing board, cafetière for your coffee as well as choice of teas. Large bathroom with good shower which was powerful and hot. We had dinner at the hotel and even though the food was okay, the service was slow. The staff were very apologetic but there were large parties in for dining and there are not enough waiting staff to cope."

"Last minute weekend booking for 2 adults and 3 children (6,6,8). Arrived late to a prepared room, warm welcome and much needed cocktail. Room had a queen size bed in a separate area with sofa bed and single bed in the main area. Each area had a large TV, would of loved for these to be smart tv’s but didn’t affect us too much. "The George is very convenient being located in the centre of Frome, particularly with its secure parking at the rear. We only stayed for one night and was allocated room 3 which is quite a trek from the reception area. Checking in was very smooth and we were greeted cheerfully with clear details required for our stay. The ground floor bar area and restaurant have clearly had a refurb and was had a very pleasant atmosphere. Room 3 had everything we needed but in places, particularly the bathroom...

"Overall the property was in a great location.Flat was everything that you needed. Pity however that it was missing just a few little touches. A small bottle of milk would not have gone amiss. No salt and pepper. The TV remote control needs to be replaced. Control buttons not working . Could not get any BBC channels on free view . All small problems . The entry instructions were great and very clear. "
