The staff were great giving a welcoming presence. The breakfast was fantastic providing a lovely place to sit and eat. The lady that worked in the area gave it an extra positive addition. The second room was in a quieter wing but the room wasn’t as nice and the electrical outlets were old. When you plugged in a charger, the plug kept falling out of the wall. Second room wasn’t that clean. Carpet could use a good cleaning. The biggest complaint was the breakfast. It’s nice to offer a hot breakfast, however there was paltry amounts of eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes put out. Beans were only put out on the weekend. All hot food items… when available, were lukewarm at best. The hot water for tea was luke warm for the three mornings in a row. The breakfast attendant is not attentive to the hot buffet quantities and we had to go to the kitchen door and advise her directly. My recommendation to the owner of the property would be to skip the hot breakfast altogether if you’re not going to do it right. Being so stingy with the hot breakfast items and not keeping the items hot has certainly added to this negative review in conjunction with the condition of the second room we stayed in. I believe i had read on the hotels bio that they had wired internet but was glad that they did in fact have wifi. My husband enjoyed the breakfast but I did not. I am gluten intolerant and the eggs and yogurt were my only choices. Plain yogurt, berries, melons, grapes would be good. The hotel smelled quite strongly like cleaner. It is good that it is clean but scented cleaners amd air fresheners are difficult for some people. Bleach would be more acceptable. Or natural essential oils, not perfumed items. Laundry was clean. Towels should be bleached too to disinfect.
