“If you are looking for a good budget Hotel this place is it. Friendly helpful staff. The room was spacious and the TV was big. Breakfast was decent. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles and pastries.”

“I’m so glad I stayed at this charming and historic bed & breakfast just a few blocks away from the riverfront in my favorite little old town of Hannibal. Everything was within walking distance and it felt a little like going back in time. I highly recommend the Garden House B&B for the authentic Hannibal experience!”

“Property was in perfect location for our stay. The stairs were steep, so lugging our bags was cumbersome, but that is no reflection of the host. We had inquired about an early check in, but received no response from the host on that. The little extra touches in the kitchen (snacks and breakfast items) and the restroom area (all sorts of extra travel size toiletries if we had forgotten anything) were a really nice touch. The unit was cute and very functional. Renovating that space into a……

“Very nice experience, and close to all the historical sites!”

“Perfect location for our quick getaway. Short drive to downtown Hannibal. Comfortable accomodations. Well furnished. Would stay again if visiting Hannibal. ”

“Had a great time in Hannibal.”

“House was small and not especially clean. Behind curtains and stairs were dirty. I have stayed in old homes before. This one was small and not especially welcoming. The history was interesting though. I like cats and they did not bother us. The cats seemed to be more comfortable than any guest. Our room was surrounded by bathrooms. We did not have to share the Jack and Jill bathroom but the one in the hall was as if it was ours, it was so close. The automatic light in the hall came on……

“Stayed here a total of 10 nights (2 reservations) while our daughter was at Hannibal Regional Hospital recovering from complications of a surgery. We rented the upstairs unit first, (Parlor on Paris) also 2 reservations, but switched to Huck's Hideaway when we realized we would be in town several weeks. Since we were taking shifts & staying with her around the clock, it was the perfect place to relax, refuel & rest. Kitchen was very functional with a great gas stove & full size appliances.……

“We absolutely loved our stay! The house was fantastic—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. Everything was easy to use and worked exactly as it should, and every one of our needs was met. The attached two-car garage was a huge bonus, especially on a rainy day when we could go straight into the house without getting wet! The home was also extremely kid-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Shelby was an amazing host, and we couldn’t have asked for a better……
