"The proprietor Andrew was lovely made me and the dogs very welcome. The breakfast was delicious and the marmalade, jam and compote was home made. Lovely walks around area. Would recommend. "
"Rom was clean and tidy, states it a hotel but it’s more like a family run BnB. Very smooth stay in a small village in wales. Can’t really fault the place"
"The local church is lovely and worth a visit. Good walks on Offa's Dyke's path. The property would suit a book fanatic as the place is full of expensive first edition copies and cobwebs! Barking dogs at night from a nearby property kept us awake. Otherwise ok. "
"Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful .
Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater .
Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side.

"Lovely hotel the staff are very pleasant and helpful, car parking at rear is a little tight to get into as the entrance st the side of the hotel is quite narrow, the rooms are very cosy and quiet would definitely stay here again."
"Third time we have stayed at the lamb and flag , i do not usually leave reviews, the staff are friendly and helpful, lovey place can’t recommend enough, all I can say is try it you won’t be disappointed "
"We were delighted by the old-fashioned charm of this hotel, which has surely survived despite all the odds in the current financial climate. We booked a 'superior' double room which turned out to be enormous, the only setback being that it was up 2 flights of stairs and the second of these had very narrow steps. However the room was lovely and so was the bathroom (which had a jacuzzi!) All was nice and clean.
On one evening they had a carvery which was very popular and deservedly so. Breakfasts were 'continental' style, but plenty of choice. The bar is an old-fashioned gem."
"Friendly and helpful staff. Good location with lovely views.
The restaurant menu was excellent. I wish I could’ve stayed more nights to try more meals from the menu. "
"From start to finish the stay was exceptional. To add a little icing on the stay a Welsh male voice choir was present to sing before dinner. Rooms, Service, food all Fantastic!"
