“Everything was to a very high standard. Generous welcome pack. Accommodation met our requirements. Plenty of room for people to do different things. Play facilities for children were a boon as weather was very mixed.”

“The location of the property is amazing, right on the bank of the River Severn which meant the television was never turned on. This historic house is spacious, there was seven of us staying, a great layout and very comfy. Our host Alison provided great communication, made sure we had arrived OK and that all was well upon our arrival. “Huggins Cottage is one of the loveliest places we've stayed, and by far the best cared for. We were made to feel welcome every step of the way, from booking to leaving. Very thoughtfully equipped kitchen, and house generally, with very comfortable beds. Bookshelves included a wealth of information about the area. “The property owners were great and made sure our arrival was welcoming with great info and welcome pack. The property is a unique original cottage with hone comforts and incredible view. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. “Just back from a wonderful weekend at Forest Cottage. Lovely quaint cottage in a secluded spot. We stay all over UK in these type of properties and this one is far superior, in our opinion, than many others we have stayed. The Hosts are friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble and not intrusive (live in detached house next door but not so close). It was so, so lovely listening to the many varieties of bird in the daytime and the Bats and Owls at night (so relaxing). For us main……

“Fantastic place to stay, unwind and be at one with nature! Not quite in the middle of nowhere but close enough. There are shops locally but we took what we needed for our stay so we could get away from everything. We ditched the car and walked everywhere. The forest is on your doorstep and a nature reserve just over the road.. Ideal place if you have dogs, enjoy walking and want to get away from daily life, just be aware of the hills. The house was cosy. A peaceful haven where you can sit……

“I stayed in the farm for 3 nights with my partner. The Annexe has everything you need and is perfect for a quiet and relaxing gateway trip. Having breakfast in the garden was definitely a highlight! Arthur, the owner, came to greet us the first morning and was very kind. They also provided us with a Welcome letter which was very helpful when looking for places to eat. The only cons is that the bathroom is a bit tight, specially the shower - I'm a tall woman- but I'd definitely recommend this……

“Great open plan living/social space downstairs however upstairs whilst spacious presented its challenges. Too much light in master bedroom during the night from bathroom windows/skylight. Had to turn on the bathroom light when going to the loo waking partner! Separate lights perhaps? Bath towels very small and we are average height /build. A memory foam mattress is not to our liking and the duvet was quite heavy for this time of year. Very well equipped kitchen and social /entertainment……

“We have been meeting up with our longtime friends and our families for many a year in different places. Lodge barn suited us perfectly. Different sections of the house for those with children and those without who didn’t want to get up so early. Being able to all sit around a big squarish table was so much more sociable than the long tables that are the usual. There was plenty of space onsite and the surrounding area beautiful and good for walks. A very enjoyable stay.”

“The property is set in wonderful grounds and is well furnished. We had everything we needed for a 4 day stay. The fire in the lounge was a lovely focal point throughout the time we were there and we would love to return in summer when we could use the pool. Unfortunately Vrbo’s computer system did not appear to communicate with the property agent’s which led to various problems, including the property manager not knowing that we had paid the deposit. A phone call with the property agent easily……
