The village of Painswick is straight out of a movie. Incredibly beautiful and old. Highly recommended.






The room was spacious and clean. Really good amenities with cooked breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back here in the future.

This was our third stay at The Ragged Cot and we always have a lovely time. Its position is so convenient to visit many lovely places and has good on site, safe parking. Nice cosy atmosphere with nice bar and restaurant and loads of outside areas to sit. Rooms are basic but ample, the only issue ...

Check-in was early, which I appreciated. However, the room fell well below expectations: it had no window, a damp smell, no hot water, and felt very run-down. It also didn’t feel clean, and there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels. Overall, I would not recommend the Stables.
