"When we arrived, the room we were initially given had a few things that still needed to be cleaned so we called the front desk to make them aware and see if we could just get someone to clean it. The front desk promptly called back and offered us an upgrade instead. Not only did they come and look at it themselves, but they showed us to the cabin we'd be in and were extremely kind and went above and beyond to make sure we had a stellar experience! We will definitely be back! "

"We enjoy staying at the Horton Hotel in Boone, NC. The rooftop bar is so fun! The beds are comfortable, showers are big, and have complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There is also complimentary hand soap and lotion. Complimentary coffee and breakfast. Walkable to all if downtown Boone and App State campus. Overall it is excellent! "
"Only negative was that I had to drive around the parking lot for 20 mins last night and never found a parking spot. Staff graciously let me park beneath the check in overhang but obviously not enough parking spots at the hotel for peak occupancy. "
"We loved the bed and the king suite. We never felt cramped. The breakfast was also very good. Liked the flavored waffles. The only thing we didn't like was the long walk to the elevator and then to our car, but there is probably nothing you can do about that. We should remember to send one with the luggage out front and one to bring the car around. We'll be back."

"Great for a relaxing week away. Very close to Boone, with fantastic cleanliness and amenities. We only had to call the host once when we arrived with a WiFi issue and she picked up immediately and got us sorted in minutes. Very happy, and would stay again. "

"This is the only rental in the state that we have revisited and we hope to do so again. It’s a perfect location for a quick getaway- Right in Boone, near a really nice grocery store, and a feeling of isolation on an amazing stream with so many trees. My husband and son love fishing for trout while my daughter and I sit and read to the sound of the water. Sherry and Rick are fantastic hosts! Can’t wait to go back!"

"Weekend getaway with family — there were 5 of us and we were very cozy in the cabin with ample space for sleeping and cooking meals. Loved the peaceful location just outside of town. Cabin was very clean — check in was a breeze. Plan to stay here every year for our mountain getaway."
"Property was great and host answered all questions quickly and helped with anything we needed. It would have been nice to have more than one towel per guest available. We had problems getting the door to lock. It took several tries each time we left to get it to lock with code. It was nice to sit on the decks and watch the deers eat and play in the yard. "
"The unit is very cute and nicely decorated. Has a very nice kitchen area, which we did not use during our one night stay. The location is excellent - one block walk to the heart of downtown Boone. We were able to easily walk to the Performing Arts center on campus for a concert. A/C is a window unit (not central air), but it felt cool enough for me. Parking is off-street, but the alley back to the duplex is tight. A large SUV would be tough to maneuver and park, IMO. There are stairs only to the second floor, so keep that in mind when booking. "
