"Nice, updated hotel in a historical area. Spacious, well-designed, clean room (room 202) with everything we needed, including nice bathroom, decent closet (bring hangers - the 4 provided did not go far), small MCM dining table, TV and good air/heat. Just down the hall from the communal coffee maker. Street parking outside was always available. Easy check-in and access provided via codes for the front door of the hotel and our specific room emailed before check-in. Interesting that there is no staff on site, but we never needed anyone. For awareness, there is no elevator if you are on an upstairs floor. No issue for us. An easy walk to antique shops, coffee/tea shops, restaurants and boutiques in Hudson. Also just a few blocks from the train station. Our faves: Feast @ Floret, Verdigris Tea, Wylde, La Mision, Kitty’s Market Cafe, Finch, Hudson Roastery, The Antique Warehouse and many others. "

"We stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed the surroundings and the drive to the property. The area is peaceful and quiet, with plenty to do for kids, including a mountain hike that even our 2- and 6-year-olds managed well. The grounds are beautiful for photos, very well maintained, and we often saw the crew cleaning and painting the sidewalks. I booked 2 suites, which were a good size for a family of four and offered plenty of space. The only downsides were that check-in felt a bit tedious it took several tries to swipe my card and there was no housekeeping service or follow-up to check on amenities during our stay. A self check-in option would make things smoother. Overall, we loved the quietness, the family-friendly activities, and the clean, well-kept property. With a few improvements in guest service, this could easily be a 5-star experience."

"A great place if you appreciate and like history. The lobby is filled with antiques and the porch is great to rock in a chair and sip some wine. Parking is no issue and you can walk to local restaurants and shops. "

"The Hudson Whaler was in quaint downtown Hudson. It is a restored older building with all the beautiful woodwork intact. The room was spacious, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. "
