“This is a lovely place to stay; beautifully decorated, with all the things that you need. Our host was so kind and helped us rearrange when our air travel was disrupted. I hope we can visit again soon. Highly recommended.”

“Super clean, great water pressure in the shower, and plenty of room for 2 people. The hosts are lovely, great with communication and will likely greet you at check in. If you're looking for a quiet and private place for a long weekend, this is a great option. The town of Shokan is super tiny and has very few dining and/or grocery options, so you'd have to head to Woodstock, Kingston or Phoenicia for legit breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking options, but all are just a 15-25 minute drive away. ”

“Property is gorgeous, comfortable, and in nature. There were deer on the front lawn and we even saw beers passing by behind. Amazing! We were there through some bad weather and the house was cosy and warm - and prepped for our comfort on arrival which made all the difference.We spent a day hiking in Minnewaska Nature Park which was beautiful and just down the road.”

“ The house and setting was so serene and relaxing. We enjoyed the outdoor area and the warm cabin like wooded welcoming and comfortable interior. So grateful for the appropriate amount of heat set, knowing that it was a bit cold at night, and extra blankets set aside for us.We had a wonderful time and a chance to reset from the city life. ”

“Matt is great! If I needed anything he was so easy to reach! His cottage is adorably decorated - perfect balance of contemporary and rustic. It is very cozy and comfortable. It is also very functional - he thought of everything to ensure you enjoy your stay. The location is convenient to great hiking and stores. The house backs up to woods so the setting is peaceful. So many historic towns nearby. I wished I stayed longer but I will be back!”
