“Great quilts on beds. Large, clean rooms. Nice Kitchen…and brewed coffee in room.”

“What a lovely gem of a place. Check in was easy, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the owner was lovely. The beds were so comfy, we joked that we’d take them with us. Oh, and there is a cat who was the highlight for myself and my friends (all kitten fosterers). Highly recommended if you find yourself in Levin. ”

“It might be a bit dated on the inside....BUT.......everything spotlessly clean and operational in the unit. I personally love "old school" so it wasn't a problem for me. 1 1/2hr drive north from the Wellington Interislander Ferry Terminal. A good place to stop and rest if coming off the ferry and heading north. A good 7 hr sleep, a long hot shower, cuppa coffee and I was then back on the road heading to Tauranga. Worked for me......it does every time......Start in Tauranga”

“We booked last minute for between Xmas/NY when there were only a couple of places left in Foxton Beach. I was surprised this place was still available given the low price and proximity to the beach - the other one was the same size but 3x the price. The photos on the listing don’t do this place justice. I suspect brighter/clearer photos with white duvet covers and more sea and lawn views would bring more bookings. The first floor deck (looks newish) has a great view of the sea, it was so nice……

“Had a fantastic couple of nights with the family. Kids loved the dart board & games room, and the house was so warm (compared to the horrendous cold weather outside!). A really quiet end of the beach, perfect for a relaxing break. Thank you!”

“We had a great time there, able to play boardgames on the large dining table and go to the beach. Five bedrooms including 2 extensions giving on the lounge that had glass doors, ok for keeping an eye on children I suppose, but adults may feel less comfortable. Plenty of options for toilets and showers with a bathroom with toilets +shower, a separate shower in the laundry and separate toilets. Lovely front garden with well sheltered patio and succulents everywhere, we were enjoying being there……

“The bach was a short walk from the Foxton estuary and within an easy drive to the beach. It was well set up for a couple or small family stay with recommended cafe and takeaways nearby. The hosts communicated promptly and provided useful information about the locality.”
