"We spent 3 nights in a really large nice apartment suite with a balcony. We were next to the pool but it was quiet with a nice view of the lake and Monte Bre. The hotel overall is a bit tired and in need of fresh paint, but the grounds were very clean. We loved the pool for a cool break from the heat and crowds of Lugano. Its a trek to find restaurants, even with the bus stop. We found good dinners 12-15 minutes uphill or downhill and skipped dinner the last night. The staff were very friendly and attentive."

"The bathroom in our room needs to be updated. There is no walk-in shower, the towels are old and not soft, and the double sink vanity is old with no storage space."

"Absolutely perfect location, right on the lake. What a view! Excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Nice clean modern hotel room in a classic building. It's an easy walk to the park, the boats, the train. Lots of nice restaurants right there. The room was large...bath had a tub AND a separate shower. And the balcony made us feel like we were royalty...sitting up high, looking at the lake, sipping wine, being in the thick of things yet in our own space. Wow! Not gonna forget this one!"

"The room and the bathroom were clean and tidy with a small tv. We didn’t have air conditioning in our room although I noticed some of the other rooms did seem to be equipped with air conditioning. The rooms are quite basic, although ours had a balcony which was very welcome. The staff are helpful, the location is safe and very close to the train and funicular stations."

"Perfect location next to funicular to station if you are catching a train in the morning. Also in the old town and just 10 minutes walk to ferries. Desk staff were friendly & welcoming. Comfortable bed & nice to have aircon in the room."
