Nisswa Hotel and Suites

8/10 Good

"Nice hotel, easy check in and out. Only thing is the room smelled a little stale or Smokey. Loved the pool area. Very reasonable rate."

"First, the woman at the daytime front desk was extremely helpful in every way. We were with family for a wedding. We flew into Mpls 2 days early and drove to Baxter. Check in went smoothly. The desk clerk was able to accommodate our request for all 3 rooms to be on the same floor, in spite of a high capacity weekend. The rooms are basic. It is obvious that the hotel is older and a bit worn. Our room smelled mildly of smoke when we entered (non smoking room) but overall wasn’t bothersome. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet at night. Temp is controlled by a unit in the wall which was adequate, though loud. We found the breakfast to be very complete with a wide variety of choices. The location of the hotel is very convenient to all kinds of restaurants and shopping. We were looking for a group activity on Friday and the desk clerk mentioned the Haunted Trails event at the Northland Arboretum. Our family group included a 15 year old, 7 year old and 4 year old. We followed her suggestion and attended that event on Friday night and had a blast!"

"It was well layed out and worked well for our family. The cleanliness was for sure missing. Very stained carpet in master, floors were not clean. Furniture not clean, floor boards and sills were very dusty I’d suggest better cleaning crew, replace table, sectional Has seen it’s better days. The arcade room was very nice and all bedding seemed clean. Communication was good. The lake lot was very nice. Just a few cleaning issues"
