"Just like home. Clean, comfortable and an excellent location to get to everything!we had everything we could want. We come up every year to spend time with family. This by far was the best place we have ever stayed. Hoping to come back next year. The colors were amazing also! Thanks for making this a great trip!"

"We had a room on the 1st floor with a beautiful view of the Portage canal and the hills behind Houghton. Breakfast was better than most other hotel offerings and the woman working the buffet was very friendly. The room and bath were very clean. This hotel is a little tricky to find though and is on an alley on the water front. Once you find Navy street you will find the hotel."

"The views are even better in person! We saw beautiful fall colors, great sunsets and sunrises and clear skies full of stars at night. The cabin is spacious with a great fire place. Definitely a great place to stay!"
