"This cottage had everything we needed as a family of four! My son (12) loves to fish and we bought a 30 pole from Walmart... he spent every night fishing the creek behind the cabin. He caught trout back there which was exciting because we are from the midwest. We were also visiting to hike in the redwoods and Fern Canyon. Both were incredible and a short drive. We would absolutely stay here again... in fact this was our favorite place to stay of the entire trip. "

The house is well stocked and modern yet it is surrounded by a campground feel. Beds comfortable and living room has recliner couches. Hose communicated well. Very close to Redwood nationall Parkand several lagoons. Lots of elk roaming in area. "

"Really enjoyed staying in this former chapel, the former St Thomas church AFAIK. Neat and tidy, well appointed and provisioned. We chose to sleep on the murphy bed. Great place to stay if you're visiting Redwoods State and National Parks. We saw a herd of Elk at the Orick elementary school yard during calving season - it was magical."
