“celebrated my birthday this past week here at RIU Palace Riviera Maya! Absolutely loved it the best resort on the block it seemed like. Staff is super friendly, resort is very clean and updated rooms. Don’t waste your time at the restaurants on the property, we really thought the buffets were the best options food wise! Tip your bartenders or other workers they show great hospitality! We got the most out of our trip, We definitely enjoyed everything i’ll be recommending to family and friends ”

“ Property is beautiful. Well maintained, and great staff. Please don’t skip on tipping staff just because a portion is included in your package. They work so hard….including housekeeping! Resort desperately needs to add additional restrooms! 1 somewhat convenient restroom for the entire beach area and pool is terrible. No wonder people choose to relieve themselves wherever it is convenient. Gross!”

“Great beach, but need more beach umbrellas and small fountains to wash off sand from the feet. Huge plus of this hotel that you don’t need reservations to the restaurants, no wait line. Buffet is very good, restaurants are very good , except Mexican. Shows are professional. Big disadvantage : guests from Riu Tequila are using the beach and buffet for lunch, so it is becoming VERY crowded. That is why hotel should put more sun umbrellas around the beach and pool areas. But otherwise definitely……
