“The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast choice and quality is excellent. I noticed they also offer packed lunches to hikers. Rooms are air conditioned ( although the casing made a cracking sound through the night) Its dog friendly but we did not bring ours due to an error by expedia. “The accommodation is a small studio flat which was well furnished and comfortable. Unfortunately, when the windows opened the road noise is too great to leave open and the room very warm so for me, not comfortable due to being too hot and poor quality sleep. There is a fan but only blowing around warm air so not great. Room was cluttered and very very dusty with long hairs in the wardrobe Garden could have been lovely but lots of tired looking furniture. Breakfast good, good selection, and served at the table. “All the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Anything extra we asked for was provided immediately. Ben, in particular, was outstanding. “This place needs shutting down. How it has passed all health & safety measures is beyond me. Nothing like the pictures. The chairs in dinning area where thick with food, feet sticking to the floor. Got to the room & it was disgustingly dirty. Bedding didn’t fit the beds & cig holes in them. The bed frame was snapped with screws sticking out. Spoon burns in the bathroom. “We received a friendly welcome at the hotel and had the keys, layout and rules explained. Room was airy and a good size. Bed was comfy. As room was on road was a bit noisy with windows open. Very pleased and will recommend and use again in the future.”

“First impression was NOT good. Ignored by staff when we tried to check in to our room. NO parking outside the pub. I queried about it after we made the booking via their email but got no answer. The window in the room, old fashion style, was DANGEROUS, heavy to push up and difficult to open. The window was cracked so clearly someone had dropped it when trying to open it. Had to be propped open with a a wooden structure. Needed 2 people to do it. The kitchen fans were REALLY noisy, went on……
