Lovely accomodations in pub with handy location. Room nice size, clean and friendly staff. It is above a pub so might need ear plugs if want total quiet. Also no one on site overnight and separate back door entrance after hours, which is now by an outdoor bar for summer.
Staff were lovely, beds were comfy and exploring the town was a fun day out, would definitely stay again :)
It did get noisy through the night, but it was a pub on a Saturday so to be expected and also the parking situation was a potential unexpected cost, luckily we nabbed a free space right outside but they’re car park was taken up by a big food truck so we almost had to pay to park further away.

Staff helpful, excellent food. Room a bit cramped. No bedside tables or lamps. No mirror for drying hair.Tea tray good. Value for money.

The landlady was brilliant. Made herself available, was efficient, friendly and very helpful.
The room itself wasn’t that clean. We had an issue with the shower ( dealt with promptly by the landlady). We would have liked a bedside table and lamps.

I stayed for 2 nights, as soon as you go upstairs to where the rooms are, there is a distinct smell of damp! Even more so in the small room.
Also the main light in the room and the bathroom light were very dim.
The bed was very comfy.
I would say the rooms need a freshen up, paint, new curtains and carpets.
Even when I got home, my clothes still smelt.
First impression was NOT good. Ignored by staff when we tried to check in to our room.
NO parking outside the pub. I queried about it after we made the booking via their email but got no answer.
The window in the room, old fashion style, was DANGEROUS, heavy to push up and difficult to open. The window was cracked so clearly someone had dropped it when trying to open it. Had to be propped open with a a wooden structure. Needed 2 people to do it.
The kitchen fans were REALLY noisy, went on and off all night, made it difficult to sleep.
The offer to get fresh towels were not available.
Shared bathroom, the light switch DIDN’T work, pitch black when you closed the door. NOT ideal when you share a bathroom. As luck would have it we had a torch so we could use that as a light otherwise you would have had to leave the door slightly ajar to see anything. Complained about it but nothing was done about it and NO apology for the inconvenience.
Will NOT stay there again or recommend it.
The rooms were clean and tidy. The pub was nice.
