“We were in town for a family reunion on Fish Hook Lake, so the location was great! HWY 71 was a little loud in the evening as we were trying to get to bed with the windows open, but we managed. The owner had a great communication and was accommodating to our schedule. Very clean and everything we needed was there!”

“The house is extremely comfortable, with good-sized bedrooms, comfortable seating, and a well-stocked kitchen. The hosts are friendly and very responsive. The house is located in a wooded area close to Itasca State Park and Park Rapids -- a wonderful location. The only suggestion our group has was that the hosts remove the plug-in fragrances throughout the house before guests arrive since some people have fragrance sensitivities (we unplugged them and that took care of the issue). “We stayed here for 2 nights in May and had a fantastic time! The owners were accessible and came down to fill the water tank and clear the waste tank when we needed it. They warned us the water from the tap was discolored but safe to drink, and provided us with a gallon of distilled water. If you are particular about the water you drink, definitely bring drinking water. The stove and grill worked well, there was plenty of firewood, and the kayak only fit one person but was so fun to take out on……
