“This is a very old hotel with all the scents and quirks of an old hotel. However, it is beautifully maintained and we found the room very clean and the overall property very fun to explore and experience. The parking was easy to get to and from and seemed safe. We encountered no problems. We enjoyed sitting out on the common balcony and watching the evening of the downtown come to life. The shopping up and down the street the next day was lovely. Many shops are closed on Sunday, fyi. ……

“We had a great stay at this cozy little cottage with our two pups. The check-in and check-out process couldn’t have been easier. There are lots of thoughtful touches like a coffee maker, nice mugs (coffee pods and creamer provided!), and a small microwave and mini fridge. Even water/food bowls and a blanket for pets! Plenty of bath towels, washclothes, etc. are provided, as well as toiletries for the bathroom. There is lots of hot water for the shower and great lighting for getting ready. ……

“While the property was clean, when we arrived and checked into the room, our room was so hot, you’d think, since they knew they were having people stay in this room, they’d turn on the air, but no. We had to turn on the air and leave for awhile. Thankfully, it cooled, but not a great start. And if your a person, like myself and my family, we don’t like to wake up to a bright room- the curtains were so thin, the room was so bright, we couldn’t sleep. So, definitely will not be returning.”

“We recently spent 17 days at Back of the Moon Cottage while I was recovering from major back surgery. We live over 3 hours from Marshall Hospital where my surgery was performed so I couldn't return home right away. The Cottage was the perfect place for us to stay. It was very clean and very quiet. Kim and Seth were amazing and always available for anything we needed. It was a wonderful experience staying there.”
