You will pay the same if not more at any other local hotel and receive the worst service. It would be so easy for Roundtree to just rely on the high summer months to make money and rob you because they can, but they don't. The whole team works with an integrity uncommon to the area. Easy walk to everything in town and while they don't have a restaurant or bar they make up……

“The Silver Sands is a diamond on the water overlooking Shelter Island. The renovation of the property is awesome. Tastefully done with a beach theme including the office with a nice bar that you can order drinks. They have cruiser bikes available. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The deck on the beach is a great spot to relax to enjoy the beautiful views. We will definitely return.”

Free coffee and tea were available with a water server, microwave, and a little sink to wash dishes. The area is so quiet and peaceful although some good restaurants and ferry port are in walking distance. Highly recommended. ”
