“Ionian Arches is a really well located, clean, family run place. The photos on the listing definitely glamorise it a bit - e.g we chose a superior room with garden view, which actually looked out onto the driveway and some plants. We were also a bit disappointed to find our breakfast is only offered in the summer - June onwards - but luckily there are lots of cafes in walking distance. Our shower also didn’t work great due to the water coming out in one pressurised stream from the middle. But……

“Very nice hotel nicest one I've ever stayed in. Definitely go all inclusive. The food was great. Good variety. It's nice to have two swimming pools. One more chilled than the other. Rooms very clean and modern bus stop right outside. Couldn't recommend enough. One negative comment. The spa sauna should be included after a treatment. It was very expensive for only half an hour so we didn't do it.”

“The swimming pool and overall cleanliness of this hotel is great. Breakfast was fine and it was nice to have it included. However, i would not recommend this hotel. It is on a very busy main road and the front entrance is in a layby to a petrol station. There is no walking path out the front to gouvia town, and it seems very unsafe as the cars drive very fast. “We decided to take a different approach this year and booked our flights and accommodation separately. We noticed the Sidari Beach hotel had excellent reviews but were slightly concerned it was only a 3 * hotel. However we could not have picked a better hotel for what we wanted. The hotel is about 12-15 mins walk from the main sidari strip but is out of earshot of all the late night music. We upgraded our room to a Seaview at a reasonable cost and that did not disappoint either. Incredible views……

“This is a well managed and very clean family run hotel, and the friendly hosts & staff are very helpful. The rooms are spacious with a balcony (some with outstanding sea views) and a reasonable bathroom. The poolside bar/cafe is a relaxing hangout. The route to the beach is a few hundred meters of steep gradient but I am in 70's and coped ok. The small town and beach has plenty of eating places and options for the younger set. Overall - a good place to stay.”
