“What a place, what a host! A fully stocked, lap-of-luxury cabin secluded in the woods with its own dock, and a quick drive to food and fun. Tom is the best kind of host: responsive and helpful. Will be back!”

“We had a great long weekend in July 2025.PROS - Kitchen is great. Air conditioning is strong in the main room. Beds were comfortable, plenty of sleeping room. Main level master is plenty spacious. The 2 upstairs bedrooms have queen bunks - queen top and bottom. Bathrooms had body wash and shampoo. Plenty of towels were available. Indoor rocking chairs were comfy, along with the sectional. TV worked. Campfire pit was great. Canoe and kayaks had paddles and were available for free, which was……

“We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and ready for us to settle in. There were plenty of bath towels, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The beds were comfortable and there were good amenities. Kitchen was well stocked. I'd recommend adding a cheese grater and measuring spoons though. :) There is a loft with 4 beds and a couple of couches. Great place for kids to hang. We loved the enclosed porch that faced the lake. Thanks! We'll be back!”

“The Playhouse was everything my dad and I could have asked for while in the area for a local fishing tournament. Bob and Karen are truly hosts that go above and beyond. The property and Playhouse are so cozy and peaceful. We’d love to stay again! ”

“Cowdry cabin and Hut worked perfectly for two couples getting away.The cabin to water proximity is perfect and flat.Plenty of and varied outdoor chairs to choose from and the lake is the show. “What an awesome cabin on lake Osakis! We had a group of 6 friends and had a great time. The cabin is clean and has plenty of room for everyone. Kids will LOVE staying here, there is a fun loft and they can fish right off the dock. There’s room to tie up your boat on the dock as well. The owner was very responsive and helpful with my questions. I highly recommend! ”

“Two besties met halfway for a girls weekend. Close to Alexandria and all it has to offer. The Boathouse was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed an evening on the deck with the beautiful fall colors on the lake. Host was available by phone and let me know that by a phone call before I checked in. Everything was easy and I would not hesitate to book again. In fact my friend even said we need to do this again. ”
