“What a beautiful inn. It’s quiet and the staff are all very friendly. I stayed there one night and chose it because of its proximity to Kynren. It was about a 15 minute drive from their car park. So convenient! Especially when you’re getting out of the show at 11 o’clock at night. Their breakfast in the morning had lots of options, both hot and cold. I wish I could’ve stayed longer in the area.”

“Great place to stay for a trip to Durham. Close enough to the centre but far enough that you’re in the countryside, with beautiful views. Immaculately clean, friendly staff and great food.”

“Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling.”

“No advance warning from reception or in the room guide that there is no dinner service on Sunday nights. Without a car (my case) a very real problem and only after serious complaint from myself (80) and friend (91) were cheese sandwiches made (and charged). Rooms on the road are appallingly noisy due to heavy traffic if one needs to sleep with an open window. The fire alarm went off at 5.00 am requiring evacuation due to "a moth" and it is not the first time this has happened recently. No……

“Nice and helpful staff Overall the facilities are ok but the flushing of the toilet wasn't strong enough Not many options of restaurants around but you can try using deliveroo to get what you wanna eat ”

“I am going to celebrate my husband's wedding. The hotel is cosy and unique, it has a nice restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast during our stay, and a small library bar where you can chill with friends. The room is spacious and warm, we love this hotel.”

“Kingslodge Inn is a lovely English country inn conveniently located near Durham train station and bus station. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the bar & restaurant offer great good in a cozy environment. Just note that there isn't an elevator; I had to carry my big suitcase one floor up.”

“Pleasant stay. Clean room. A not too loud alarm did disturb our sleep a little but it must have been nothing untoward? - fire regulations said to wait in bedroom until otherwise advised... fortunately no such advice was forthcoming!”

“Overall this is a good hotel. I wouldn't choose the basic rooms. Better to go for the better, slightly more expensive rooms. Breakfast was good”
