"I drove nine hours to this property and couldn’t get the owner on the phone for entry details. While I was on the phone with VRBO trying to figure it out, I got a notification that my booking had been canceled. Only then did the owner finally contact me—just to say I’d get a refund because they double-booked. This last-minute cancellation cost me more money than I’d planned for the trip. When I tried to call the owner back to discuss it, they refused to answer."
