Rainbow Falls can only be seen by hiking the 2 additional miles from Devils Postpile (0.4 mi) from the trailhead. The only way to reach the trailhead is by taking a shuttle inside Devils Postpile National Monument in Mammoth, California. The hike is easy but fairly open so it can get pretty hot in the summer, but the view of Rainbow Falls is absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend making the trip if you’re in Mammoth. We didn't need much from the property owners, but they were attentive when we had questions and made sure we had what we needed for a great stay. While the property is right on highway 49 we didn't get disturbed in any way by vehicle traffic. The cottage is very nice and comfortable. "

"We had the best time during our stay at the cabin for our wedding weekend! The house was spacious and clean and perfect for hosting friends and family. The dock was perfect for laying out by the lake and having breakfast with everyone. We brought our pup and she will definitely be sad to no longer be able to wake up and jump off the dock to swim all day long. The host was communicative and accommodating and we can’t think of one negative thing to say. We had the best weekend!"

"The accommodations were superb and extremely clean. We chose the option with no kitchen or bathroom. The shared bathroom was spotless and close to the room. it was so pleasant sitting on the porch for meals and watching the wildlife all around. My only criticism would be that the mattress was not comfortable for us - too hard. A foam pad would have solved that issue. So would a better mattress."
