Rainbow Falls can only be seen by hiking the 2 additional miles from Devils Postpile (0.4 mi) from the trailhead. The only way to reach the trailhead is by taking a shuttle inside Devils Postpile National Monument in Mammoth, California. The hike is easy but fairly open so it can get pretty hot in the summer, but the view of Rainbow Falls is absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend making the trip if you’re in Mammoth. "The orange door cottage is about 20 min driving to the Yosemite Park South entrance. It is also close to the town for dinning and gas. If you get up early in the morning walking around, you will find peace in nature. The cottage is clean and well maintained. The door of the cottage is painted in orange color to distinguish from other ones nearby. We enjoyed staying in the Orange door cottage!"

"The house was perfect for our five night stay. The beds were super comfortable and our boys appreciated each having a queen bed. Although not in any photos in the listing, there is a full size hot tub on the deck. Happy to see a hot tub service guy there during our stay maintaining the hot tub.
