“Very convenient off the highway; front desk gentleman was great; room was clean and quiet. No ice machines but the staff was very accommodating to help us.”

“Literally right off the exit, the Wingate was surprisingly quiet. I was greeted nicely and carts were by the door to bring luggage upstairs. The desk clerk was helpful in sharing directions and breakfast was very good. It was an overall great stay and if the pool heater is repaired next time I travel through, I'll stay again.”

“Room and hallways were a little too cold upon arrival. I to adjust the room temperature. I didn’t like that there no convenience store on the property to purchase items.”

“Really enjoy having Belgian waffles and eggs for breakfast. The front desk was friendly and helpful. In a previous review I commented on some lighting near the entry to the common area. It was very well lit this time, which was greatly appreciated. Price was great. Glad to have this Quality Inn in Hillsville!”

“The property was in disrepair. My first assigned room had not been cleaned. The next room they assigned me the toilet did not flush. The next room they gave me. The TV did not work. The pool had brown water in it. I would like a refund for this because I left and did not stay the night. It was just too dirty. I asked the clerk for a refund but they said I had to go through Expedia”

“Room was clean. Our first room had no hot water but they quickly gave us a comparable room on the same floor. Gym room was well appointed with equipment and had water cooler. Breakfast was better than others I’ve seen with eggs, sausage, thin bacon, potatoes. Oranges were juicy and delicious. Front desk was courteous and helpful.”

“Eventhough we booked through Expedia, a warning about the train horns, and noise at wee hours of the night would help with planning to choose this hotel, coupled with paper thin walls. Breakfast was pretty good. Room size, and double sinks were good.”

“Thought continental breakfast would have a little more to choose from But it was ok. No toiletries provided.”

“The room and property were dirty. There was an unclean odor and vibe overall. We stayed here due to limited options with graduation weekend at Virginia Tech happening the same time we had a wedding to attend. Our bedspread had a red stain on it. The carpet had several white stains strewn in different areas. The chair in the corner was stained and filthy. We didn’t use it at all. The overall condition of the property was dingy. I guess our neighbors were smoking weed all night because it was……
