“WE had a ringside seat to hummers and so many birds that we didn't want to leave the front porch! The view of the horses and watching them every day was all we needed. This was the perfect retreat and a jump off place for other Gila Wilderness activities that you might enjoy. Can't say enough nice things about Lauren and Tim's great spread! We plan to come back when we need that great dose of peace.”

“Overall, our stay was ok. I organized a weekend getaway for myself, my mother (in her 80s), sisters, & nieces. 6 of us in total, for 3 and 1/2 days, and according to the listing, this was seemed like the right size. Thankfully, our mother ended up not coming, & we are very grateful. The listing is WAY too small for 6 people. It may sleep 6, but that's about it. “Michele's place has a lot of character and is very cozy. This was our first time visiting Elephant Butte Lake. We were surprised with how quiet it is there. Our 3 year old had a blast collecting rocks & shells by the lake. Michele was a great host. She was very kind, and promptly answered all of our questions.”
