“Get away from it all in a charming tiny home cabin (that doesn’t feel at all tiny). Extremely clean, well appointed, light filled, comfortable cabin - in the woods but not completely isolated. Wildlife sightings, Penrose Point State Park very close. Responsive host. Green all around. Rejuvenating. My cousin visiting from LA, and I from Portland, LOVED our stay! Highly recommend!”

“Our stay at The Cabin was just great! The weather allowed the three kids in our party to play outside for hours and hours—they loved the lawn when the tide was high and the beach when the tide was low. Everyone was charmed by the log cabin interior and the stairs to the third bedroom were fun for us. The kitchen and bathrooms were nice and we appreciated the seating options since there were seven of us. I’m not sure when we’ll have the opportunity to go back but would consider The Cabin again!”

“Cute, small footprint cabin directly on the water with a beautiful view of the mountains. We had a relaxing stay and had the beach to ourselves for nearly the whole time we were there. We fed deer by hand, saw a dolphin and some seals from our deck, and found countless treasures on the beach. A few things to note- it is a studio a frame set up- much smaller than we anticipated from the pictures. The main bedroom is really in the living room right behind the front door with no door or privacy...

“This cabin is the perfect getaway for those that enjoy the outdoors, especially at Hood Canal. The cabin is great for fishing, oyster harvesting, and just sitting back to take in the breath taking scenery. It also served as a great base camp for exploring the surrounding area. Hoodsport is 5 mins away and Lake Cushman is only 10-15 mins away. As for the cabin itself, it was so clean and well equipped with everything you need. “Checking in was very easy! House is right on the beach, stairs directly in front of the cabin so it makes it easy to walk right down to the beach and grab oyster or let you little ones find treasure’s! We used the fire pit which was great and we roasted s’mores as well! My son found a wine bottle that had floated to shore with a message in it, he couldn’t have been more excited! “A nice quiet place by the water! I was in the area for a rehab seminar by myself and it was a nice quiet place to relax. Easily one of the best places to have a cup of coffee and watch the wildlife on the water! The down the grassy trail to the steps can be a little sketchy in a downpour but it’s otherwise worth it! ”

“Such a cute little house. We only ran into a couple of issues. There were bugs that found their way into the house (like a lot of lady bugs) but the weather was just warming up. The other was that the shower was slow to drain. If you have more people staying, the only bathroom is located inside the main bedroom, so if people take late night bathroom trips that can be an issue. We loved the location and the property was so clean. The views were stunning and the hot tub was a huge plus!...

“Really enjoyed our stay on the island. Comfortable place. Liked having a choice of bedrooms (up or downstairs), and having two bathrooms. We made good use of the kayaks everyday, even when it rained one day. It was difficult to find all the kayak choices since many of the marking on the kayaks are wearing off. We also noted that the one garbage can outside was full when we arrived nd we really struggled to put our own trash in it the we left. It seems it should have been empty when we arrived....

“Cute little place. Provided a keurig but only had tea. No big deal just noting. Bathroom lighting is not great. Heating is hot as hades or cold. Hard to find happy medium with baseboard heat but to be expected. If you’re parking an SUV, plan to finagle your way out. Overall, I was happy with this unit.”

The beds were comfortable and open living/dining room was great for our family of 3 to be able to hang out in. The neighborhood was a little bit of a mixed bag but was fine. The little convenience store around the corner was great.”
