“The smiling service of the front desk staff made me feel like I was at home. I booked a suite for $200/day. I took the elevator to the 7th floor with the room card. I was not disappointed after opening the door. The room was designed in gray tones, clean, tidy and warm. There was a simple kitchenette on the right side of the door, a three-seater sofa, a desk and chair, a 180-degree rotating TV, and a thick mattress (moderate softness). "I’ve never stayed in such a terrible hotel! The walls and floors outside the room were filthy, and the floor inside the room was dirty too — only the bed was clean. Small cockroaches would crawl out from time to time! I even had to spend my own money to buy cockroach spray and place it around the room.
The only thing worth praising was the housekeeping staff — mostly Central and South Americans who didn’t speak much English, but thankfully we could communicate using translation apps on our phones.
Honestly, if it weren’t for trying to save money, I would have run away in a heartbeat!"
