Stayz advises travellers to book their Christmas holiday home by 16 July1

Data from Stayz® shows Aussies are booking their Christmas holidays well in advance, with demand expected to peak this month.

For a wider selection of available holiday homes over the Christmas period, Stayz recommends travellers book by 16 July, and summer holidays by 23 July[1]. These dates have been determined as part of Stayz’ annual Book By Dates for key travel periods, which are based on an analysis of holiday home rental demand in the year prior.

“While we used to see Christmas bookings peak around September, in recent years this trend has crept up to as early as July, as Aussies get in early to make the most of the Christmas break and ensure they find the best holiday home for themselves and their loved ones,” said Daniel Finch, Managing Director Expedia Brands. “Particularly over the busy summer period, waiting too long to book your holiday home could make or break your holiday plans.”
