"The positive part of this hotel was that the staff were lovely and considerate when I checked in and out. One girl offered me a hair dryer which was kind. The problem was that the room doors are metal and other people staying there don't appear to be considerate enough to close the doors quietly so they were banging shut all night. "This little town and the place we stayed was the highlight of our trip to Japan. First of all, the town itself was such a breath of fresh air after being in the middle of Tokyo most of the week. Quiet, surrounded by nature, and then we came to the place we were staying. Traditional, you have to leave your shoes by the front door upon entering. "The room was spacious, but going up and down from the bunk bed was inconvenient. It would be better if the big table was taken away and replaced it w/ twin beds. The big table could be dangerous as someone can get injured by the pointed edges. Also, the bathroom was rather small and its floor was noisy when you step on it."

"The place was as described. The indoor onsen was small. Didn't go for the outdoor onsen as the timing pretty early from 5.30am-8.15am and have to complete my breakfast by 8.15am. Overall the stay was comfortable."

"Awesome owner couple who are ever so helpful. Ko San gives you a ride and picks you up to onsen, dinner, ski place etc. They also give you ticket access to Onsen nearby so you dont have to pay for entry fee."
