"Lovely location right on the beachfront and close walk to all bars and restaurants. Pool was good but small for the size of the property. Not enough sunbeds. Most were towel reserved. But could lie out in the beach. Beach towels provided. Great to sit in the restaurant and watch sunset. Breakfast was average. Few options for vegetarians. "

"This hotel is in a great area full of restaurants and small shops and walking distance to the beach. The staff are amazing. Friendly and helpful The breakfast is off the menu and is very good. Stayed 4 nights and would stay here again"

"Moldy, Dump site for rubbish and trash. The whole place is run down and unkept, the owner was very rude, there were piles of broken glass and bottles and scrap metal all over the place. Road was very dangerous to drive up and the property is no where near the sea in comparison to everything else on the island, no where near the amenities or night life, we didn’t even stay our planned 4 nights, it was terrible "

"You can swim off the beach with a snorkel mask and find one of the best reefs including sea turtles, and if you wake up early before the tour groups or are lucky black tip reef sharks too. Area was clean, and pools were gorgeous. Good breakfast but poor layout creating a few traffic jams. Also the amount of stairs or hills you have to walk is too much for some, also expect taxi to charge 400B one way"

"The hotel was great! Easy check in, and they arranged a transfer to and from the ferry for me. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and responsive on WhatsApp. I had one meal at the restaurant and enjoyed it. The view from the pool is quite beautiful. The area is not particularly walkable as there are no shoulders on the roads, so rent a motor bike (arranged at the property), take taxis (pricy), or get ready to hike some hills in the heat (this is what I did)!"

"We loved our stay at Pingchan Hotel. We were a family of four staying in a beach front villa, after a week in a big hotel on Koh Samui. We wanted to get away from the big tourism of Samui and Pingchan and Thong Nai Pan Beach really delivered! Such an amazing setting, quiet, beach shack bars, beautiful clear water and fine sand and it certainly felt a little off the beaten track. "We booked waterfront rooms. The view was great with the sand beach right in front. Comfortable covered patio to hang out on. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Like most places in Thailand could use some minor repairs but nothing that would impact the stay. Staff were wonderful. Walk along the beach 5 minutes to shops, restaurants and the main pier. Go behind the hotel up a short steep hill takes you to a road with hundreds of shops and restaurants as well as a very long and sandy beach....

"Excellent location being right on the main full moon street, but far enough that you don't hear the music. Room was really nice for the value. AC worked well. Only minor negative points - lots of mini ants in the room (can't do much though with how the door slides), pool could have been cleaned better, and the single beds are very single... Otherwise highly recommend if you're during the full moon party. "
