Accra, Ghana Hotel Rooms at the Independent

My party and I had a great experience here. It was phenomenal to work with the staff, Alfred, Martin, James, Ebenezo, and Pat, the manager of the facility. They made our trip to Ghana very comfortable, we will always stay here in our return trips to Accra. Its a very clean, inviting place, with personal amenities, dishes cooked to order, as well as a very relaxing porch and common areas. We truly felt that it was home away from home. I would recommend to anyone traveling to Accra that they see if the Villa has some space! It will be well worth it.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff there were also great and very helpful. Apart from the nosiness around,but i general it was worth staying there. And will like to stay there anytime i go to Accra

the address that you show on your site for La Villa is wrong. The phone number on your site is missing one number. As a result we spent 2 hours looking for this hotel. No one had heard ofLa Villa and the sign at the round about is too low to be seen through traffic. he car roofs obscure the sign. As it turns out the hotel is known to the locals as Akai House????? It is a good thing that a friend was taking us to the hotel and had a lot of patience to drive all over town to find the hotel. The hotel is not on 13 Lane, Osu and in fact the street is on has no name! We could not call anyone because the phone number is wrong on the site!!!!! Once we arrived it was a great hotel but you do have to arrive!!!!!

the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. There was no noise from vehicular traffic. excellent service. we had a plumbing leak in the bathroom. the hotel maintenance tried quite hard to fix. it was fixed after the second try. pleasant environment for those who do not care for the hustle of the city. the mall is less than 10minute drive

The hotel staff was excellent except for the office manager who tried to add addtional costs when I checked out after having been told at checked in I did not need to pay the costs. Outside of that, excellent service of breakfast and food was good, maid service was excellent, kitchenette was fully functional, front desk service was excellent and very helpful, internet service was good. Hotel has backup generator which was activated quickly after power outages and internets service were brought back online also.

We were only in Accra for a day because we had a 12 hour layover. Christian and his staff were so incredibly helpful from the moment we booked until well after checking out. First, we had to have a letter from the hotel in order to obtain our visas to leave the airport and Christian sent this right away when I requested it. He then arranged for airport transfers at the last minute when our flight was delayed. And, most importantly, when Ethopian Airlines lost our luggage, Christian went above and beyond to help us get it back. As we had to leave Ghana before our luggage even arrived there (or was located!), Christian needed to continue to follow up with Accra baggage services after we were no longer guests at his hotel and he did so very diligently and kept excellent lines of communication during the entire ordeal. I don't know what we would have done without him!

Hotel is very comfortable for Business Travelkers. I spent 10 days there, and was very pleased. Rooms are very large; good internet connection; very clean. Food at the restaurant is very good, and the staff is frioendly, and ready to help.

When I get total Customer Service day and night, it makes staying away from home so much easier, loved the staff at East Airport Guesthouse would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying close to the airport and easy ride to and from Kotoka Int'l

My family has two more 1-night stops in Accra and we hope to be staying here for both of them.

I have really enjoyed many stays there all my time in Ghana and they are incomparable .
