"Cave Bianche is situated in an old quarry, its attractive buildings made from the tufa stone, which was quarried here. The grounds are attractively landscaped, there is a beautiful pool - and bar - and the staff are solicitous and friendly. Colazione is the standard Italian fare, included in the room price. "First we must mention that the staff at the reception desk were very helpful and friendly which may be the best part of our experience there. When we saw that the the stairs leading up to our room is completely full of dust balls made up of dirt twisted with dried up leaves and hair we should have taken this as a sign of what we could expect inside the rooms...as if old water stains and handprints on the flush handles of the bide next to the toilet was not enough to tell us that the room has not...

"The hotel has a great location, but bad management. The place is wrecked, everything is rusted and VERY old. The double beds are actually 2 single mattresses, so if you are a couple prepare to fall between the gap. There is no Wi-Fi in rooms or anywhere near them. You have to go to reception, and it's limited even at hours with no one around. Took me 15 mins each time to download emails. The staff are all really unfriendly/not helpful even if you speak Italian. You can't pay with cash but...
