Terrible service.

Posted May 28, 2015
I booked this hotel for a business trip. When I arrived, the two front desk employees took a tremendous amount of time to serve the one person at the desk, leaving along line of people waiting to check in. While in my room (a suite), I opened the mini fridge and placed a bottle of root beer on the shelf. Upon opening the fridge to get the cold drink an hour later, the shelf collapsed, drink fell out, causing the glass to shatter and pieces to go everywhere within the kitchen. I called down to the front desk to ask for somebody to come up and clean up the glass, as there was no dustpan in the room and I was therefore unable to do it myself. 6 hours and two calls later, still nobody. So I used the towels in the bathroom to sop up the mess and tried to get as many pieces of glass that I could. And went to bed. Fast forward to that evening - STILL nothing has been cleaned. And now I'm out of towels. I called down AGAIN, explained that it had been 24 hours and still no cleanup had taken place. They assured me that somebody would be sent up. Nobody. I called again, complained again, and still nobody was sent up. I checked out, two days later, with pieces of glass all over the kitchen floor. I'll never stay here again, and I would advise you to stay away as well.

A Tale of Two Cities

Posted May 27, 2015
On the plus, the room was very comfortable and clean. The location was good, and parking for the weekend was very reasonable. The service was poor. For example the room was not cleaned one day, and even though we asked two times for clean towels, we did not get them. The staff was friendly enough, but the service was not up to standard. The breakfast was not very good. I believe they had more people then they expected, so it was overwhelming and they ran out of food. I really believe they should return some of my money, because it was pretty expensive.

Spacious rooms; excellent happy hour/breakfast

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: The room and bed.
Cons: Maybe more food options within the hotel but I guess there are a lot of places to eat nearby; no one really eats at the hotel anymore.
Location: Solid mile from inner harbor (you can walk but don't recommend if dark).
The room was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed; plus complimentary happy hour as well as breakfast.

Just ok

I stayed at the Embassy Suites Inner Harbor in Baltimore for five nights. Overall, the hotel and rooms are dingy and in need of updating. I asked to be placed in a room on a high floor which, in hindsight, was probably a mistake. When the hotel was busy at check out and check in times, one had to wait 5 or more minutes to get one of the four elevators. I resorted to walking up once and down a few times all 24 flights when I had to get going. The room I was placed in was right next to an elevator and I constantly heard the pulleys and electrical equipment of the elevator. And, then, even though I called the front desk 15 - 30 minutes ahead to have my car brought to the front by valet service, I had to wait for my car just about every time, for about 20 minutes at the worst. Then in the rooms, 2 of the 5 days, I was not given replacement bathroom amenities of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc. Overall, this was a somewhat unpleasant stay.

Not prepared for big crowd

Stood on 11th floor for 45 min waiting for elevator. Couldn't eat breakfast because room was full. Waited 25 min outside waiting on vallet to bring vehicle around and it was hot. Room stunk with odor. Worst experience ever at a hotel by far. Will never return.

Pros: Great service, room, access and you can walk to the harbor area where you can find a lot of place to visit.

Avoid this hotel if you can

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: Absolutely nothing!
Cons: Level it and start over. Luckily I have an Army wife that knows how to move tactically in a hostile environment. Take cabs from point to point
Location: Baltimore's inner harbor is lovely.
I am 50 years old and have worked in the service industry for over half my life. This is the first time I stiffed a server on my check. The restaurant staff to include the hostess and manager went out of their way to try and not seat us. They tried to get us to feed at the "hospitality troff" Free rail drinks and the remains of some crumbs in the tortilla chip and pretzel mix tray finished with an empty dish of salsa that God knows how many double and triple dips were made there! Since my wife and I arrived seperately, we both had to valet our cars to the tune of $20 each. Old building, old room, old bathroom. OLD!

Lisa the bartender was beyond and above the kindest person we came across in our trip.

The bedroom was fine but the bathroom was far too small.
