Disappointing

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Stayed here a few years ago and made a point to come back but was disappointed in my return trip. The rooms are great, nice full kitchen, living area with fireplace, bed, and bath. The rest of the facilities, not so great this time. Front counter staff was underwhelming and not very professional. All 3 hot tubs were being resurfaced at the same time. Landscaping at the back of the facility had not been taken care of and was growing into the patio area outside our room and blocking what should have been great views of the mountains. Patio furniture was old and dirty. Trash left in the cans from the previous customers. Really loved this place the first time I stayed but will not return.

The room has no A/C!

Posted Jul 8, 2015
I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times and always enjoyed it, except this time. It was a beautiful +30 day in Canmore and our room was hot! I asked front desk where the thermostat was and she said there wasn't one for the deluxe room we stayed in. Apparently the room on the other side controls the heat. Our room was unbearably hot and we had the window and fan running all night with no relief. When I mentioned this to the clerk at the desk in the morning when I checked out, all she said was "yeah, it was a hot one." I was disappointed with her answer and will truly rethink staying here again. It's sad that this one experience has now ruined my thoughts on this hotel.

Nice hotel. Large rooms, very clean. But we got a room right above the highway and barely didn't sleep.

The hotel floor was not that clean and was sticky.

The sofa bed that was provided was very uncomfortable and it matteress was very thin. Apart from that it is a very good hotel and they should be cleaning the floor properly

Well equipped beautiful suite!

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: The kitchen was fantastically stocked, there was tons of storage space, and the bedroom was cozy.
Cons: There was not clear signage that smoking was only allowed outside of the front entrance.
Location: The hotel is kind of hard to find - it is tucked on a less-driven road in Canmore. Close to downtown, great views of the mountains.
4 lady friends went to Canmore and stayed in the 1 bedroom queen bed suite. It was incredibly comfortable! The bed felt larger than a Queen, there was ample storage space, and the kitchen was very well stocked. Although it was claimed to be a kitchenette, it was a full sized kitchen, complete with full fridge/freezer, dishwasher, stove/oven, and small appliances including a toaster, blender, etc. The sound system was amazing, with speakers built into the roof. It was very enjoyable!

Peaceful location

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Easy access, full kitchen, black-out curtains in the bedroom and air conditioning allowed us to sleep comfortably. Very quiet location.
Cons: The lighting is insufficient. The suite also needed a throughout cleaning and dusting. Kitchen floor was sticky.
Silver Creek Lodge is a 10 minute walk from downtown Canmore. It has a spacious, clean, well-lit underground parking. The suite included a bedroom and a living room/ full kitchen and also a washer/dryer. Next time we would avoid a room with a connecting door to another suite as we could easily hear everything (conversations etc). from the adjoining suite.

Nice hotel for the price

Very nice room. Love the kitchenette. Noisy neighbors and slightly hard bed but otherwise very pleasing room. Would definitely go back.

Stayed in a very nice 1 bedroom suite. Bed was super comfy, full kitchen and gorgeous living room balcony and bathroom.
