Nice place & location but not as clean
The location was absolutely amazing. If you are renting in the summer when it’s warm, there is no A/C and only a ceiling fan in the living room and one box fan. It doesn’t specifically say no A/C in the listing. Also, you don’t get the entire house. Only the bottom half as the upstairs is rented out as well. That is not disclosed in the listing as well. There were condom wrappers in the bunk bed slats that my son found. Not sure if we’ll stay here again.

Had a great stay plenty to do around if your not sitting by the fire place taking in the quiet. Easy access to the slopes, restaurants and entertainment right down the road.

Cleanliness
Overall the house was clean. There were some areas that had cob webs. Dishwasher didn’t work. Bunk beds did not have sheets on beds. The blankets that were to be used for the bunk beds were on the floor in the closet. They weren’t folded but rather rolled up and on the floor. I wasn’t impressed with that. Made us feel as though they weren’t clean. Overall the house and property was just as advertised. We had a great time staying here and would choose this place again.

Misleading photos
The photos and description are misleading. It says entire home but there is another unit on top. The photos make it seem.like it's on the slide but it's actually across the street. This was just more disappointing from a view perspective (if we were there during ski season it would have really been disappointing). The house had a very strong mildew smell. The master bed was okay the twin bed was so so, the trundlebed left a lot to be desired (thankfully my kids weigh next to nothing so they didn't complain). The sleeper sofa mattress was comfy but the frame was missing half the springs so we had to put it on the floor. The directions to the trash can need improvement we never did find it. The hot water heater worked well and we never ran out of hot water. I think our biggest disappointment was the fact we thought we were rending an entire house slopeside when in turn we were the bottom unit across the street.

Nice for the price
The size of the space was comfortable but it smelled a little musty and it was damp. Kitchen well stocked with plates, cups, cooking items etc. The beds were a bit lumpy and the pullout couch was broken. Disappointed that the dryer and vacuum did not work and there were dirty socks and hair on the bed in the spare room so the unit wasn’t well cleaned before we got there. That said, the surrounding area and location were peaceful and beautiful and with a few renovations and the addition of a dehumidifier, this could be a great place to getaway.. For us it was ok.

Great Location, home definitely needs some love
This home has potential. It's in an awesome location with a lot of great sights and sounds. We brought games, hot cocoa, crock pot—overall we had a blast! The bathrooms look like they have been updated for the most part. The wifi was great—and there is cell reception there as well. Some things that I wasn't pleased with: The cleaner could do a much better job. There were dust bunnies behind the bed and visible cobwebs in the corners. The "master" mattress is a full spring mattress, and is extremely uncomfortable. My husband and I are in our thirties and could not get comfortable at all. Additionally, there is only one smoke detector. It didn't work. I checked, re-checked, and the battery was dead. Extremely frustrating! Especially having a fireplace there. I'm pretty sure all rentals need to have a smoke detector in each room. Speaking of fireplace, the host brags a cozy fireplace, but they probably should say "bring your own wood," because there wasn't any. The breaker kept tripping so we couldn't run the dishwasher at the same time as doing a handful of other things. It was an easy fix, but still, annoying. Also, you have to figure out where you're going to access the slope. This is on the opposite side of the road, so you have to trespass onto other people's properties if you want to get over to the slope, or drive your car to the parking lot, which defeats the purpose. I messaged the property manager regarding a couple of things and still haven't heard back. At the end of the day we still had fun, but there were no "extra touches" to the house. We didn't even have Netflix or TV, but there are about seven mysterious remotes that aren't labeled. Not joking, there were literally so many remotes. I had to log in with my personal account to Netflix and log out before I left. The "kids" box of toys is destroyed and most things were missing pieces, but luckily we found some crayons. For as much as we paid to stay here, we won't stay here again. Overall just lacking attention to detail, safety issues, cleanliness. The location is what saved us, and the fact that we came prepared with lots of games, a crock pot, and stayed on the slopes most of the time. I guess you pay for the location.

Great location
The location of this place was the best. Just a quick walk across a gravel road to the slopes. Very clean and large living and kitchen area. It said it sleeps 5, but I would say it only sleeps 3 comfortably. The pull-out couch had missing springs and was not useable (this was written in another review and the response said it was being replaced but it hasn’t been). In the twin bedroom there is a trundle, but the trundle mattress was very thin and my daughter (who is 100 pounds) sunk to the floor when she laid on it. The heat also didn’t work in the living area (which was also mentioned in a preview review as repaired but it hadn’t been). Bathrooms were nice and the kitchen had lots of supplies. Overall it was a good stay that would have been perfect if the company had fixed the issues that they said they had.

Perfect short-term skiing accommodation
This was a great stay. Nothing too expensive, fancy, or complicated about it. The price was excellent for the location and really made the difference during our ski trip. Not having to drive down to and from the resort is a GAME CHANGER! Some things take some getting used to, such as using the indoor space heaters and baseboard heaters to stay warm, but it was comfortable. Overall the property needs an update and could use a refinishing, but everything you needed was provided. I particularly appreciated the extra linens, towels, and toiletries which is not too typical in VRBOs. We might look for something with a little more in the way of creature comforts next time, but this is an excellent "essentials" vacation rental!
